The Impact Review

The Impact Review Q4 2023 is our quarterly summary of the projects CIC has been doing with our local charities and community businesses. It brings to life the incredible work they are doing in the community and profiles the CIC volunteers who have given their time and talent to help them achieve even more.

How does CIC deliver impact in South-East London?

We support impact businesses better achieve their missions by offering them free senior creative resource to support their marketing needs. We deliver these projects through our Impact Volunteer Platform, our Impact Awards programme and our Community & Fundraising Events in our space in the Bussey Building, Peckham. We fund this work through fundraising and with the profits of our sister Creative Agency, FSC.

  • VIP matches creative professional volunteer hours to local impact business marketing needs - delivering top-notch marketing support on an on-going basis allowing social impact entrepreneurs, charities, CICs and community initiatives to maximise their impact.

  • Impact Awards are £4000 of creative resource awarded to fund foundational projects such as Business Visions, Social Media Strategies or Design Toolkits - given to impact businesses that are just starting out. We award 36 of these a year.

  • The CIC community space in Bussey Building, Peckham is used to bring our members & partners together to meet and collaborate, for fundraising events, and for our partners and community collaborators to use for their own events.

Our Volunteer Impact Platform.

Our volunteering platform connects creative professionals who want to volunteer their creative skills for good with local impact businesses who are doing good in their communities. Through VIP we offer our local Impact Partners ongoing free creative support across areas such as campaign & comms planning, print, digital comms, social assets, and photography.

Our Impact Awards.

Our Impact Awards are £4000 worth of senior creative resource delivered via 8 week projects across foundational areas such as business and vision planning, brand & logo toolkits, social media strategies, campaign & comms strategies, and website development.

We award 9 Impact Awards per quarter (36 per year) to local Impact Businesses who have community prosperity at their heart - and we manage, deliver & guarantee all the Award projects ourselves.

Our events range from fundraising Live Music, Stand Up and Ted X style speaker events that directly fund our work in the community - to free social and community events for our Volunteers and Charity Partners to meet, chat and collaborate with each other.

Our Community & Fundraising Events.

CIC FAQs

  • If you are a creative professional, you can join as a volunteer and pledge monthly hours. If you are an Impact Business, you can apply for an Impact Award or to be part of the VIP beta trial. You can also support us by coming to our fundraising events.

  • To support a local impact business you do need to be a creative professional - as the volunteering is skills based. If you are not a creative professional you can get involved in other ways - by coming to our fundraising events, supporting us on social media, and through direct donations (available summer of 2024).

  • If your business has social impact at its core - then, yes, we may be able to help you with marketing and design. We are focusing on Peckham and South-East London at the moment - but we are always open to working with amazing impact companies outside of London too (we are planning to set up more CICs across the UK soon).

  • We fund the CIC through fundraising activities like events and merch - and through our sister creative agency, FSC - which donates a percentage of its profits to allow us to do the work we do.
